Muriel Gillet

Muriel Gillet holds a law degree from the Catholic University of Louvain and a degree in economic law from the Free University of Brussels. She has been a member of the Brussels Bar since 1991. She joined the Lebutte & Partners association in 2004.

Thanks to a team of two associates (Soumia BSILAT and Céline MIECRET) and a paralegal assistant (Manuella BUCKINX), we are able to offer you a personalized and dynamic service for handling litigation or seeking negotiated solutions.

As a specialist in family law, Muriel Gillet handles cases involving both the personal aspects of divorce or separation disputes (such as issues relating to child custody arrangements) and financial aspects (liquidation of the matrimonial regime between spouses or joint ownership between partners and maintenance obligations). Following training organized by the Bar Association on dealing with victims of sexual and domestic violence, particular attention is paid to providing support in these areas.

Muriel GILLET is also regularly consulted in cases relating to the liquidation and distribution of estates or jointly owned property.

With solid experience in the legal protection of adults, having herself been appointed as an administrator of property and persons, she has developed a critical eye with regard to the performance of the duties of legal representatives.

School law is also a very frequently discussed topic.

Real estate law (sale and purchase of real estate, disputes relating to commercial leases or primary residences), as well as disputes relating to construction law, are widely practiced.
