Soumia Bsilat

Soumia Bsilat has been a lawyer at the Brussels Bar since 2015 and a member of the Lebutte & Partners law firm since 2018. Passionate and committed, she offers you
her expertise in several areas of law to provide you with the best possible support in your legal proceedings.

She obtained a Master’s degree in civil and criminal law from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 2014, followed by an additional Master’s degree in labor and social security law in 2015, also from the ULB.

In 2025, she successfully completed the “Lawyer’s Victims Assistance (LVA)” training course, which aims to train lawyers in the care of victims of sexual and domestic violence.

Specializing in juvenile law, she assists both minors at risk and those suspected of having committed an offense throughout the protective proceedings (police interviews, meetings with the juvenile court judge, public hearings). She listens carefully and acts in the best interests of the child.

Ms. Bsilat also has solid experience in criminal law, where she assists both victims and individuals prosecuted for offenses, and in labor law.

In family law, she assists her clients in divorce and family disputes with professionalism and sensitivity.

Soumia Bsilat is active in the Brussels Bar Association. She works closely with the Legal Aid Office as head of the legal aid team to ensure access to justice for all.

She was also awarded the Stella Wolf Prize by the Brussels Bar Association. This prize is awarded to the lawyer who has demonstrated, in the exercise of their profession and in their relationships, the most notable qualities of kindness, the greatest collegiality, and the most marked propensity for dialogue, understanding of others, and availability.
